Immunomagnetic cell sorting is feasible directly inside Petaka. The slow/flow system guarantee the entrapment of paramagnetic labeled cells in the magnetic field in a wide thin cell layer. This allows positive selection of labeled cells, and the application of repeated washes to ensure the maximum purity of the selected cells.
After washes cells can continue growing in the same Petaka, therefore reducing cell loses and cell damage.
The basic requirement for MagnetoFectionTM is a magnetic plate specifically designed for this application. The magnetic plate is a one-time buy and completely reusable, so you do not need expensive equipment contrary to approaches such as electroporation or gene gun.
Two optimized magnetic plates with improved properties have been developed to allow you reaching the best levels of nanobeads delivery. Its design allows producing a magnetic field that magnetizes the nanoparticles in solution, forms a very strong gradient to attract them and covers all the surface of the plate.
PTK-Spin is the custom made rotor of the Digicen 21 centrifuge. It perfectly accommodates the collocation of 8 petakaG3 into a made-to measure sleeve. The maintenance free motor makes it perfectly adapted for the intensive work the laboratory demands, enabling long slow programs or high speed centrifugation up to 20.000 RPM. Programmable with 16 simultaneous programs.
Allows separate collection of both, cells & media, in the same Petaka. The orientation of the Petaka into the sleeve is dictated by the operation that is required to be performed. Change of media maintaining the cells inside the Petaka would require the Petaka to be placed with the air filter as the upper most corner. For removing cells from the Petaka & leave the media inside, the Petaka would need to place inside the sleeve with the port as the upper most corner.

The ClearCell instrument is perfectly devised to enable the detachment of adherent cells without the use of chemicals or enzymes such as Trypsin EDTA. Using the petakaG3 LOT & HOT Petakas in conjunction with ClearCell offers a simple and quick method of enzyme free detachment. Literally 3 minutes of oscillating “surfers” for each surface are sufficient to remove more than 95% of the anchored cells.
